Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
As I was a mom with one child on me and others in the cradle, I worked 12 hours a day sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to form, but there was still a long way to go. The project would require lots of time and money and shopping my favorite to furnish this home. To stay on budget I began attending estate sales with my three boys searching for jewels in the rough. We had a weekly schedule which consisted of spending the week from the week of Thursday to Saturday scouring estate sales and garage sales shopping for new and used objects. The rest of the week sanding and painting the driveway. It looked a bit like this... This is the place where my passion for the restoration of antique furniture began. It didn't matter if the house was already furnished. There was an area on the market in town that I could sell my items. I was able to outgrow the area because I had plenty of pieces that I was able to use. Over 1000 people visited my house in one weekend to purchase everything on the ground floor. Growing Days was founded in my home. Alongside my flourishing company, I also started our family. There was a perfect balance between starting a business as well as being a mom. Growing Days seemed like the perfect match. My daughter Nora was our fourth baby. Although I was happy with the direction my business went, I was feeling like I was in need of some time off. I decided to take some time off from my vintage furniture and slow down to remain at home with the kids. It was exactly what I was looking for at the time. However, after just a couple of minutes I began to hear my phone getting busy. Numerous people reached me seeking advice regarding home improvements and decor. A majority of these were the ones who had strolled through my house during open house for furniture! It didn't seem long until I managed a large-scale house renovation business. I began by taking clients with a speed I could be at ease with. It would have probably made me laugh if I had told you that it would be the foundation of a DIY Network tv series. It's funny to think back to it.
