Tulloch uses the name Bitsie that isn't an abbreviation of her birth name Elizabeth however it is a tribute to her grandfather who was a bizarrely named World War II bomber pilot who also was involved in the 1961 Goldsboro B-52 crash. Tulloch started her acting career in 2007, was known as Bitsie. This continued through 2017, after which she switched her name to Elizabeth. I still introduce myself by the name of Bitsie when I meet people. It worked in the beginning as I began acting when I was in my early 20s. It worked as I entered my early 20s. But now that I am mid-30s I think I would like to try it again, but with the purpose of billing. When I did a film, the thought never even thought of it. Producers were like Hey we noticed its Elizabeth as we filled in your legal documents. Do you like this way of billing? Then I started thinking about it. I then called my manager, and they both said yeah thats a great idea. The time has come to change your age. Bitsie is a very cute name. It's adorable. That's all there was to it. Elizabeth I'm not even introducing myself right now. It is only because of the bill for this. Tulloch originates from Scottish as well as Spanish heritage. Tulloch says her belief that Spanish was her first native spoken language, however she's not fluent in the language. The Tulloch family includes a paternal grandmother of Renfrewshire and her great-grandfather of Kirkwall. Both are in Scotland. In an article published by BBC News, she stated that that the Tullochs came to the US in 1880. They and the Kerrs were among them around the turn of the century.
